Ronald Lee Berry, 55, of Richmond, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 9, 2015, at Reid Hospital.
   Born February 14, 1960 in Elyria, Ohio to Roy E. and Abbie J. Sherrill Berry, Ron had lived in Richmond from the age of three. He attended Richmond Community Schools. He was a concrete finisher and carpenter. He began working for his dad who owned Berry’s Concrete, later becoming co-owner and taking over the business after his father’s retirement.
   Ron loved spending time with his grandchildren, camping, fishing and being on his boat and spending time at Brookville Lake. He loved watching and attending NASCAR racing, especially when his favorite driver, Mark Martin, was racing.
   He moved away in the 1980’s, working as a finish carpenter at Walt Disney World in Orlando for many years. He later did field research for oil companies in Texas and Wyoming before returning to Richmond in 1993.
   Ron will be missed by his son, Christopher Lee Berry; daughter, Cherish M. Metsch; grandchildren Draven A. Berry, Faith Ann Metsch and Erica H. Metsch; father, Roy E. Berry; sisters, Linda (Pastor Robert) Johnson and Paula M. Berry; nephew, Pastor Daniel E. Moses; aunts, uncles and many, many cousins across the US.
   Ron was preceded in death by his wife of 33 years, Karol A. Berry; mother, Abbie J. Berry; brother, Rick E. Berry and son-in-law, Eric J. Metsch.  
   Pastor Robert E. Johnson and Pastor Daniel E. Moses will conduct a funeral ceremony at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 14 at the North 27 Worship Center, 5172 US 27 North, Richmond. Interment will follow in Elkhorn Cemetery.
   Family & friends may gather for visitation from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, at the Worship Center.
   Memorial contributions may be sent to the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, PO Box 14, Fountain City, Indiana to help with funeral expenses.
