Scott David Railsback, 60, of Fountain City, passed away on Saturday, August 3 after a six-month struggle with stomach cancer.  
   Scott was born in Richmond to John and Patricia Railsback. He was married to Susie Sharp on August 26, 1972.  Scott and Susie shared a marriage that will serve as an example of love and devotion to their children and grandchildren.
   Scott graduated from Northeastern High School in 1970. He then attended Tri State University in Angola, Indiana where he earned a degree in mechanical engineering in 1974. He and Susie returned to Fountain City, where they began farming. Scott was a life-long farmer and shared his passion for the land with his family. Scott also worked at Astral Industries for more than twenty years. Scott was a man of integrity who will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
   Their son, Ben Railsback, is married to Jerusha and they have two children, Aunika and Cohen.
   Their daughter, Katie, is married to Anthony Coddington and they have four children, Claire, Ava, Ella, and Cole.
   Scott is survived by his sister, Sue Brock (Dave), of Richmond; brother, Bruce Railsback (Celeste), of Athens, Georgia; aunt, Anna Mary Railsback, of Richmond; brother-in-law, Paul Sharp, of Fountain City; cousins, nieces, and nephews.
   Pastor Dave Anderson will conduct a graveside ceremony at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 8, in Willow Grove Cemetery in Fountain City.
   Visitation for Scott will be from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 7, at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City.
   Memorial contributions may be sent to the Reid Foundation for Hospice Care, 1150 Reid Parkway, Richmond, IN 47341.
