Perley E. "Sonny" Tomlinson, Jr., 62, of Richmond, passed away Saturday, May 31, at Reid Hospital.
He was born February 28, 1946, in Fort Fairfield, Maine, the son of Perley E., Sr. and Barbara Pauline Turner Tomlinson. He attended Richmond High School and lived most of his life in the Richmond area. Sonny was self-employed in graphic design and printing. He enjoyed activities relating to the Old West and cowboy shooting competitions. Sonny was a member of ABATE and enjoyed riding motorcycles.
Sonny will be missed by his wife, the former Kathaleen King, of Richmond, 2 daughters, Belinda Knight and her husband, Donnie, of Shelbyville and Angel Tomlinson, of Richmond; 1 sister, Brenda Jackson and her husband, Clayton, of Cumberland Furnace, Tennessee; 1 brother, Shawn Tomlinson and his wife, Susan, of Fountain City; his Cocker Spaniel, Meme and several nieces and nephews.
Sonny was preceded in death by his mother in 1987 and his father in 1997.
A funeral ceremony will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, June 4, at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City. Interment will follow in Goshen Cemetery.
Family and friends may gather for visitation from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon on Wednesday, June 4, at the funeral home.
