Thelma Greathouse, 96, of Williamsburg, passed away Friday, August 2.
She was born February 16, 1917 in Wayne County to Evard R. & Ethel M. Frame Murray. She lived in the Williamsburg community most of her life, where she was a faithful member of the Williamsburg Church of the Nazarene. She served as the church organist for 72 years and was a member of their Primetimers group. She was a retired agent for McQuiston Insurance Agency in Richmond.
Thelma will be missed by her niece, Marilyn Nichols, of Williamsburg; and great-nieces Myra Ferrell and Paula Wright.
Thelma was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Greathouse in 1936 and son, Victor Greathouse in 1935; and sister, Gladys Weimer.
A graveside ceremony will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, August 5, in Union Chapel Cemetery, west of Carlos.
