Thomas Alvin Pierce

   Thomas Alvin Pierce, 87, of Fountain City, passed away on Wednesday evening, December 14, 2022 at Forest Health Campus after a long illness.

   Tom was born on August 7, 1935 in Hagerstown, Indiana to John Alvin and Audrey E. McConnaughey Pierce. Tom was a graduate of Hagerstown High School. He enjoyed a long career at Dana Perfect Circle, retiring after 42 years of service. He married the former Virginia Henisa on September 18, 1976. He was a member of New Liberty Congregational Christian Church in Lynn. He enjoyed owning his vintage cars and attending car shows.

   Tom is survived by his wife of 46 years, Virginia Pierce; three sons: Rickie Alvin Pierce, Mark Alan Pierce and John Allen Pierce; sister, Alvadeane Evans and nieces & nephews.

   Tom was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Larry Alan Pierce and James Ronald Pierce.

   Tom requested no public calling or funeral service. Interment will take place in Willow Grove Cemetery following a private graveside ceremony.

   Memorial contributions are encouraged for the charitable organization of the donor’s choice.
