Troy Herron

Troy Allen Herron, 56, of Richmond, Indiana, went to his eternal home on October 13, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital after an extended illness.

Troy was born in Oxford, Ohio on June 18, 1969, to Leslie Allen & Jeanette F. Lunsford Herron. Troy attended Northeastern High School with the Class of 1988.

Troy spent many years on the road as a long-haul truck driver. He later entertained as a DJ and was most recently employed by RLG Lawn Care until his health prevented him from working.

Troy will be missed by his children, Elizabeth Herron and Amanda Springfield; 5 grandchildren, sisters, Ronda Burelison & husband, George, and Darla Oler & husband, Kenny; several nieces, nephews and cousins including a special cousin, Rick George; and his 4-legged friend, Harley.

Troy was preceded in death by his father in 1997, his mother in 2017, and his son, Tyler Leslie Allen Herron, in 2021.

Visitation for Troy’s family & friends will be from 4-6 pm on Sunday, October 19, at the Smith-McQuiston & Webster Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City, Indiana 47374.

A celebration of Troy’s life will begin at 6:00 pm Sunday, October 19, at the funeral home.

Troy will be laid to rest next to his son, Tyler, in Lake Cemetery in Metter, Georgia.
