Tyrus Y. Mercer

Mr. Tyrus Y. Mercer, 82, of Richmond, passed away in the comfort of his home while in the presence of his family on Saturday morning, June 21.

Mr. Mercer was born on November 27, 1942, in Harvey, Illinois to Tyrus L. & Ruthmary Young Mercer.

Mr. Mercer lived most of his life in the Richmond area. He began working at Cinram in Richmond in 1970 and retired from there in 2006.

Mr. Mercer will be missed by his wife of 52 years, Theresa Bryant Mercer; two daughters, Theresa Anglin, and Tara Baldwin & husband, Jeff; son, Ty B. Mercer; three grandchildren, Ty Mercer, Jr., Mandi Anglin and Devin Baldwin.

Mr. Mercer was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Tracey Mercer Cox, and granddaughter, Taylor Baldwin.

Mr. Mercer requested that no public service be held.
