Mr. Lloyd “Vance†Moore passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on Saturday, September 2, in Richmond, Indiana at the age of 72.
Vance was born on January 14, 1945 in Indianapolis to L. Ivan Moore and Annabelle Mood Moore. A graduate of Indiana University, Vance worked as Personnel Manager for Johnson County Hospital, and later in management for Harbor Freight Tools.
In retirement Vance and Janet spent their time with grandchildren. Always a sports enthusiast, Vance loved following Northeastern Knights basketball and watching his grandchildren’s sporting events. Vance never met a stranger and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Vance is survived by his wife of 27 years, Janet (Smith) Moore; sons Greg Moore and his wife, Tomayo; Brent Ross and his wife, Julie, and Doug Ross; daughter Krista Ott and her husband, Brad; and grandchildren Merissa Ross, Brody Ross, Marnie Moore, Katie Ott, Jonathan Ott and Joseph Ott. He is also survived by siblings Phillip Moore, and Peggy Ann Coahran.
Rev. Martin Holman will conduct a memorial service at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 10 at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 3469 Hillcrest Road, Richmond. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Vance’ life.
