William Crull

William J. “Bill” Crull, 83, of Williamsburg, passed away Sunday, February 19, at Reid Hospital in Richmond.
    He was born September 12, 1928 in Wayne County, Indiana to Frank and Edna Mae Scott Crull. He graduated from Williamsburg High School in 1946 and married the former Joyce Hinshaw on September 17, 1950.
   Mr. Crull operated a dairy farm until 1969. He later owned and operated Williamsburg Grain Elevator for 12 years and drove a bus for Rose City Transit for 10 years. From 1995-2008, he worked as a tax preparer with B & J Bookkeeping.  He was a lifetime member of Williamsburg Friends Meeting and was a member of the Santa Gertrudis Polled Beef Association. He enjoyed reading, especially Westerns, and enjoyed watching football and basketball.
   Mr. Crull was the last surviving charter member of the Williamsburg Lions Club and was a recipient of the Melvin Jones Award.    
   Mr. Crull will be missed by his wife, Joyce, of Williamsburg; daughter, Patricia Crull, of Brownsburg; sons and daughters-in-law, Mike & Sharon Crull, of Hartsville; Timothy & Anita Crull, of New Castle; grandchildren, Chad Crull, of Hagerstown; Brandi Farmer (Jeremy), of Greens Fork; Todd Crull (Jill) , of Modoc; great-grandchildren, Marti Rae Crull, Noah Federico; Cassie Federico; Zane Farmer, Sophie Farmer, Heather Crull, Olivia Crull, James Crull, Zack Crull; sisters, Susan Fisher (Tony) of Brownsburg; Betty Jean Locke, of Winchester; sister-in-law, Myra Lou Crull, of New Paris, OH; and several nieces & nephews.
   Mr. Crull was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Tom Crull.
   A funeral ceremony will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 22 at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City. Interment will follow in Williamsburg Cemetery.
   Family & friends may gather for visitation from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 21, at the funeral home.
   Memorial contributions may be sent to the Williamsburg Friends Meeting, 8253 North US 35, Williamsburg, IN 47393. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.

I just found this on my computer. When I saw this I remember all the wonderful things he did for me and my family when we came from Pittsburgh. He always made me feel special. You have my sincerest condolences

Tim, Iam very sorry to hear about the loss of your father, he was a very good man. for you and all your family knowing that he is with our Heavenly Father now should help ease the pain of loss.

To the Crull Family, it was a pleasure knowing Bill, he always had a simle on his face and a kind word. I know that the Lord has a special place for him. Our prayers go out to the family. Take comfort in the word of the Lord.

Joyce and family, So sorry to learn of Bill's passing.  I have many memories of bill as my Sunday school teacher athe the Williamsburg Friends meeting and the all of the youth group activities.  I know everyone remembers bill sinign for church and many other events.  I especially remember him singing "Climb Every Mountain" for my high school graduation program.  
Knowing the family and really growing up with all of them in Williamsburge was wonderful.  May all of these memories comfort you in your loss.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Bill, he was a great person. I had the pleasure of working with him at County Market, he was everyone's grandpa figure who always gave you words or wisdom and kept everyone on track, he will truly be missed.

Tim,Anita,Todd,Chad and Brandi, I pray for God's mercy,peace and strength during your loss. Your family has always been such an inspiration of what family love throughout all generations are meant to be. My sons and I have so many wonderful memories because God had allowed our paths to cross. Mr. Crull was always so humorous, informational and caring. Honestly all of you made wrestling matchs VERY enjoyable LOL. Laughter and love are the greatest legacy of a person to pass on and Mr. Crull diffently left an amazing legacy. I'm so sorry that I can not be there for you in person, but know that my heart and prayers are. I love you all dearly, miss you even more and Thank God for the treasures of friendship he has given us. God Bless Kim

On behalf of all of the Gerald Davis family, all if you have our sincere sympathy.  Bill
was such a big part of our lives for many, many years.  We all remember you as our Sunday School teacher at Williamsburg Friends and your serving as
song leader.

Your dedication to your family, your church and to the Lions Club was amazing.  

We all loved Bill and Joyce, and of course Mike, Tim, and Patty.  We will never forget you Bill.
