“For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure has come.  I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith”.  2 Timothy 4:6-7

   Willodean Southward, wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend, was a blessing to all who knew her and all who loved her.  Her battle has ended and she is now resting in God’s eternal Kingdom and in the arms of Jesus.
   Willodean was born on June 21, 1925 in Randolph County to Earl and Ruth Skinner.  She grew up and attended local schools in Randolph County.  
   She married Jim Johnson in 1946, having a son, Max. She was a homemaker and a farm wife.  In 1962, Jim and Willodean moved to San Diego California, where Jim worked in construction until his retirement, returning to Randolph County in 1988. Her husband Jim passed away in 1995. In 2002 Willodean married Darel Southward and both continued to live in Randolph County until moving to Richmond in 2008.
   Willodean was a member of the First Baptist Church of Richmond for the past eight years.  
   She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Darel, sisters Kate, Margurite, Marcella and Diana, a brother Weldon and nieces and nephews.
   She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Jim and her son Max.  
   Family and friends may call at the First Baptist Church, 1601 South A Street in Richmond on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 12 o’clock with services to follow at 1:00 PM.  Interment will be at the Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester.
   Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church in Richmond.
